My thoughts on the Orlando Massacre

For what they are worth, it pains me to see and hear about the massacre on June 12. So many lives lost, so many injured and all for bigotry. People need to realise that who a person sleeps with does not define who the person is. No one blinks an eye when a straight couple shows affection in public so why bat an eyelid when a gay couple does.

No two people are the same in this world. Even twins are not born at the exact same time together but several minutes apart and they exhibit different traits. You can't expect everyone to conform to your own ideologies or the standards you set for yourself.

Hate with more hate will only lead to more devastation. A mother carries her child in the womb for nine months, experiencing the unpleasantness of morning sickness but the joy of having the baby kick in the stomach several months later. The pain of child birth only to forget it the moment the child is born. After experiencing these, should a mother deny her child for who the child likes? Should a brother reject his own flesh and blood for this reason? A sister turn her back on her own sibling whom she has know all her life for this reason? Or should a father toss the child out into the street?

It all boils down to choices. People should understand that taking a life is no small feet and that scar is forever imprinted on the taker's life. Be it emotionally or in the physical sense!

This is my thought.
