Do you only read books from authors you know or authors recommended to you?

Because there are so many authors out there - with most being able to pen a really good story, I have been mostly limiting myself to my GO TO authors. You were not one of them, but because one of them posting a link and I was curious, I clicked on it and it led to me to Melrose Coven 1. I put it on my wishlist at Siren and it was there for about a week before I bought it. I am currently reading Melrose Coven 2. Will leave a review after I am done. So, to answer your question, referrals by trusted authors are what usually get me to go outside of the GO To. Birthdays, Mother Day and Christmas are the times I get Strandbucks and will usually buy from a new-to-me author. This habit is an expensive one.
